Acceptance of these terms

By visiting this site or using its tools, you accept these terms of use, which form a contract between you and Cogio inc. (“Cogio”). If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site. Nothing here restricts any right the law guarantees you, in particular the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c. P-40.1) where it applies.

Who we are

Cogio inc. is a Quebec consulting firm in sovereign artificial intelligence, established in Quebec, Canada. We design custom AI agents, hosted on our clients’ own infrastructure, compliant with Law 25. To reach us: support@cogio.ai.

The content of this site

The articles, guides, case studies and other content published on this site are provided as general information. They are accurate, to the best of our knowledge, as of the date shown on each page, but laws, funding programs and technologies change. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, tax, accounting or professional advice: for your own situation, consult a qualified adviser.

Case studies are anonymized and the figures in them are specific to the context of each engagement: they illustrate results obtained, they do not promise you the same.

The AI assistant

The site offers a conversational assistant that answers your questions live. Its answers are generated automatically: despite the care taken in configuring it, they may contain inaccuracies, oversimplifications or outdated information. They never constitute professional advice, and no business, legal or tax decision should be taken on their strength alone.

You undertake not to type personal information into the assistant (yours or anyone else’s) or any confidential information, and to use it reasonably and lawfully. How questions are handled is described in our privacy policy.

The funding information

The program rates and amounts shown on this site are indicative reference points, based on the public parameters of the funding programs at the time of their last update. Actual eligibility, rates and amounts rest entirely with the bodies that administer each program, and budgets are limited. This information creates no right and constitutes neither a promise of funding nor a guarantee of eligibility.

Acceptable use

In using this site, you undertake not to:

  • interfere with how it works, or attempt to access its systems without authorization;
  • subject the assistant or the forms to automated, bulk or abusive requests;
  • use the assistant to generate unlawful, misleading, hateful or harmful content;
  • systematically extract or reproduce the site’s content for commercial purposes without written authorization;
  • impersonate a person or an organization in your communications with us.

Intellectual property

The site, its brand, its texts, its illustrations, its animations and its code are the property of Cogio inc. or of its licensors, and are protected by the applicable laws. You may consult the content for your personal or internal use, and quote it by naming the source with a link to the original page. Any other reproduction requires our written authorization, requested at support@cogio.ai.

Professional services

Any service engagement (diagnostic, design, deployment, ongoing support) is the subject of a separate agreement that defines its scope, deliverables, timelines and financial terms. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails on everything to do with the engagement.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The site, its content, its assistant and its tools are provided “as is,” with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Cogio cannot be held liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or of the assistant, in particular from a decision taken on the strength of information or of a generated answer.

Nothing here excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law, in particular the Civil Code of Québec.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms to reflect how the site, our services or the law evolve. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page, and a significant change is flagged prominently on the site. Using the site after a change is published amounts to accepting it.

Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the Canadian federal laws that apply within it. Any dispute falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec. Before any proceeding, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to settle the dispute amicably within 30 days.

These terms are drafted in French. Where a translation is provided, including this English version of the page, the French version prevails, in accordance with the Charter of the French Language (CQLR c. C-11).
