AI integration · SAP Business One
Your SAP Business One, with AI that stays with you
AI agents that prepare the work in SAP Business One: supplier invoices, sales orders, dunning and reconciliations. The model runs on a server that stays inside the company.
- No migration
- Data stays with you
- Human approval
Use cases
The agents go through the Service Layer, SAP Business One’s OData-compliant REST API, with a user whose authorizations are limited. What is available depends on your release and your database (SAP HANA or Microsoft SQL Server).
Supplier invoices
The vendor’s PDF becomes a draft A/P invoice, matched to the purchase order and the goods receipt. Variances are flagged before anyone adds it.
Sales orders
An order received by email or as a PDF is read and prepared as a draft with the items, prices and delivery dates recorded in SAP Business One.
Dunning and receivables
The agent spots overdue invoices, drafts follow-up emails in the company’s tone and hands them to the person in charge.
Questions in plain language
“Which customers went over their credit limit this month?” The agent queries SAP Business One and answers with the amounts, sources included.
Confidentiality
SAP Business One runs on your servers or with a partner who hosts it. Either way, sovereign AI processes your data without handing it to an outside AI service.
100% sovereign AI
The model runs on a server inside the company or with a Canadian-owned host. No ERP data is handed to an outside AI service.
Limited rights
The agent’s user is bounded by SAP Business One authorizations. It prepares drafts and never adds or pays anything itself.
Everything is logged
Every read and every write by the agent leaves a trace, both in the ERP’s history and in the agent’s own log.
Reversible
Open models and documented configurations: if you stop working with us, your agents and your ERP keep running.
How we work
First step
Discovery call
Confirm that your need lends itself to a sovereign solution, and set the boundaries of what comes next.
Deliverable: An expert opinion on whether it is worth going further, plus a few recommendations on which implementations to tackle first.
Step 1
Digital diagnostic and plan
Confirm that the project is both buildable and profitable: a map of your processes, your data and your systems, then a dollar value for each use case.
Deliverable: A costed digital plan and a requirements document, often eligible under stream 1B of the ESSOR program.
ESSOR 1B (50%)
Step 2
Build and rollout
Implement the selected solutions on your infrastructure: install the server on your premises or with a Canadian-owned host in Quebec, configure your AI, and connect it to your environment and everyday tools.
Deliverable: A working solution in a controlled environment, technical documentation and test suites.
ESSOR 1C (50%) MFOR (75%) C3I (15% to 25%) RTRI (50%)
Step 3
Maintenance and support
Keep the solution fast and compliant: monitoring, model updates and a monthly report.
Deliverable: Uptime maintained, a bank of hours for enhancements, and documented governance.
Funding
Integrating AI into your ERP may qualify for the ESSOR program, which can cover up to 50% of the diagnostic and the rollout for an eligible SME. Training your teams is eligible under the MFOR program at up to 75%. If tariffs are hitting your sales or your costs, the federal RTRI can fund half of an automation project.

How does the AI connect to SAP Business One?
Through the Service Layer, SAP Business One’s REST API, which follows the OData 3.0 and 4.0 standards. If your release is older, we check with your SAP partner what is available, including the DI API, the legacy interface.
Does the agent need an extra SAP licence?
The agent signs in with a SAP Business One user, which needs a licence. The licence type depends on what it has to do: we confirm it with your SAP partner before we start.
What about SAP S/4HANA?
S/4HANA targets large enterprises and integrates differently. This page covers SAP Business One, SAP’s ERP for SMEs. For S/4HANA, let’s talk case by case.
Are you an SAP partner?
No. Cogio is an independent firm. We work with your instance, your access and your current SAP partner, without touching your agreement.
Does our data stay in Quebec?
Yes. The AI model runs on a server installed on your premises or with a Canadian-owned host in Quebec. What matters is the owner’s jurisdiction: a Montreal data centre owned by a U.S. company is still subject to the CLOUD Act.
Where does the project start?
With a diagnostic: we map your processes in SAP Business One, pinpoint the repetitive tasks that take the most time and put numbers on the expected gains. For an eligible SME, that diagnostic can be funded at 50% under ESSOR stream 1B.
